Cedar Hairstreak: Mitoura grynea barryi/nelsoni on pale bastard toad flax

A cedar hairstreak on pale bastard toadflax (Comandra umbellata var. pallida) several miles west of Arlington, Oregon and near several western junipers (Juniperus occidentalis) atop the gorge rimrock about one mile south of the Columbia River...........May 12, 2012. Note the white markings on the ventral hind wing which are prominent only on the forepart of that wing.
