Glaucous springbeauty as seen on rocky cliffs along the Eagle Creek Trail, Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area...............April 13, 2012. Note the perfoliate stem leaf subtending the inflorescence which helps distinguish this variety from the similar var. exigua which has linear to horn-like stem leaves which may be partially connate.
