Corn Gromwell, Field Gromwell: Buglossoides arvensis (Synonym:Lithospermum arvense) - Annual. One to several stems from 10-70 cm high, the middle one generally the largest. Corolla white or bluish-white, 5-8 mm long, the limb 2-4 mm wide.

Columbia Puccoon, Puccoon, Western Gromwell, Western Stoneseed: Lithospermum ruderale (Synonyms: Lithospermum lanceolatum, Lithospermum pilosum) - Perennial. Clustered stems from 5-60 cm high. Corolla yellow or yellowish-green, 4-6 mm long with the limb 7-13 mm wide.
