Siberian Alder
Alnus viridis ssp. fruticosa
Synonym: Alnus viridis var. fruticosa
The photo above shows the leaves of what appears to be mountain alder as seen on Cranberry Ridge at Camp Denali, Denali National Park....................August 24, 2006. Note the flat blades with the margins wich are doubly serrate but not wavy margined. The leaf tips range from acute to acuminate while those of Alnus viridis ssp. crispa are obtuse to acute.
