The photo above shows large-leaf lupine as seen at Camp Denali, Denali National Park..................August 25, 2006. Not native to the park, large-leaf lupine can be found spreading along roads and in plantings around buildings in interior Alaska.
The photo above shows a close-up sideview of the flower of large-leaf lupine. The banner or uppermost petal is situated far back atop the wings and is fairly erect. Note the spreading hairs on the surface of the calyx. Photographed at Camp Denali.

The photo above shows a leaf of large-leaf lupine. The blades bear 10-18 leaflets, each of which is narrowly oblanceolate to elliptic-oblanceolate with acute tips. The leaves are typically long petiolate. Photographed at Camp Denali.
