Rough eyelashweed blooming at left along the School Canyon Trail #368 within the first half mile of the trail, Badger Creek Wilderness.........May 10, 2015. Characteristics:

3 to 5 three-forked ray flowers surrounding several disk flowers. Ray flowers white with 3 purplish rays on the underside of each ray. Many narrow stem leaves. Plants to 1 foot tall. Flowers from May into June.


Habitat:

Dry open flats in the sagebrush and pinyon-juniper communities to 2200 m.


Range:

From southeast Washington south along the eastern edge of the Cascades to central California, east to the western edge of northern Idaho, the Snake River plains of central Idaho, and northeast Nevada.
