A close-up of the inflorescence of what appears to be foxtail barley as seen in Page Springs Campground (BLM), Steens Mountain of southeastern Oregon..............June 2, 2012. The auricles, which are well developed, are barely visible at the base of the stem leaf, which is 7 mm or so wide.
