The Cold Springs Trail #72 is a moderately used trail which climbs through coniferous forest and across some old lava flows from the Gotchen Creek Trail #40 at its lowest elevation to the Cold Springs Campground at its high point. Because of its forest nature, the trail does not offer the scenic views of the trails found higher on Mt. Adams.
