Elegant Day Moth, Elegant Sheep Moth

The photos on this page were taken along the
Island Springs Trail #66 on the eastern slopes of Mt. Adams........July
17, 2006. Several of these moths were flying "floppily" above a steep,
meadowed slope. I found this individual clinging to the spent flowerhead of
nodding microseris (Microseris nutans).
