The photo above shows the upper leaves and flower (past bloom) of meadow nemophila as seen along Laurel Road in Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge........June 15, 2008. Note the long auricles reflexed backwards from the notch between each calyx lobe. The auricles of this species are much more pronounced than those of the similar small-flowered nemophila (Nemophila parviflora) which can often found at the same location.

The lobes of the leaf tend to be shorter and rounder than those of the similar small-flowered nemophila (Nemophila parviflora).
