The photo above shows tufted loosestrife as seen in wetlands along the Willard Springs Foot Trail in Conboy Lake NWR.........June 9, 2007. Note the spreading hairs on the stem below the inflorescence. Also note the long, narrowly lanceolate leaves (opposite on the stems) and the axillary racemes.
