The inflorescence of western polemonium as seen at Island Springs on the Ridge of Wonders, Mt. Adams..........August 12, 2006. Note how the 3-lobed stigma at the tip of the style extends well past the mouth of the corolla while the stamens are shorter than the corolla lobes.
