The leaves of this species are sessile with 5 lobes, the lowest pair basal and
the distal trio of leaflets arising at the same point just beyond the basal
pair. A stalk which bears a head of flowers arises from the leaf axil.

in this case disturbed gravels at an old rock quarry along Forest Road #23 just
south of the Lewis River Bridge at the northwestern corner of Mt. Adams.........August

Note that the erect banner is positioned well back in relation to the wings
and keel. Note also the red lines on the banner.

The wings are slightly longer than the keel. Note the long, loosely spreading
hairs on the narrow calyx lobes.
