as seen from alongside Kreps Lane in the the central canal that runs through Conboy Lake NWR.........July 31, 2008. This species looks very similar to water-hemlock (Cicuta douglasii).
The two photos seen directly above show close-ups of the upper (top) and lower (bottom) surfaces of the leaflets of water parsnip. The veins are oriented into the tip of each tooth along the leaf margin rather than into the notch between each tooth (as in water hemlock: Cicuta douglasii).
