Kneeling angelica still in bloom in wetlands along side one of the numerous bridges on the Green River Trail #213, Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument........September 4, 2019. Note the abruptly bent (downwards) leaf rachis, which helps identify this species.
The photo above shows a view down onto the upper leaf surface of kneeling angelica as seen along the Klickitat River Route, a logging road which follows the upper Klickitat River into the Yakama Reservation............May 26, 2008. This particular site is just below the Outlet Falls. Note the abruptly bent (downwards) rachis of the leaf axis at each insertion of a lateral leaflet, a characteristic of this species.
