The pink to lavender petals of this species generally lack spots and measure from 8-20 mm long. The connate sepals and 4-grooved ovary is also visible in this photo. The photo at right shows slender godetia in bloom at the Klickitat Breaks, Klickitat Wildlife Area.......May 26, 2020.

The photo above shows a close-up side-view of the flower arising from a leaf axil of slender godetia as seen along Kreps Lane in Conboy Lake NWR..........June 18, 2006. The ovary is inferior as seen in this photo, and is 4-grooved and covered with minute, light-colored hairs. Note also the connate sepals, which means that the sepals below the petals are joined or turned to one side of the underside of the flower.
