The photo above shows a close-up of long-leaf evening-primrose as seen in a vernally moist meadow near Lookout Mt. to the east of Chief Joseph Canyon in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest of northeastern Oregon.........June 26, 2008. Note that the leaf blades are long and taper gradually to an acute point. The are entirely basal and are much longer than the floral stem.
