Tw0 close-up views of the flowers of Alaska rein-orchid as seen along the River Route Road in the upper Klickitat River Canyon........June 22, 2008. The spur measures 2-3 mm long, or much shorter than that of the similar elegant rein-orchid (Piperia elegans ssp. elegans).
Locations on Mt. Adams where this species has been seen:
1. Alaska rein-orchid may be seen along Cascade
Creek in the vicinity of Salt Creek on the southern slopes of Mt. Adams.
2. It has also been seen along the upper Klickitat River.
3. South rim of the Klickitat River canyon in the Klickitat Canyon Community Forest
