Grass Widow: Olsynium douglasii as seen at left along Road K1000 to the southeast of Mt. Adams.........April 13, 2007. This species has a narrow base to the filament tube, which is seen here. The similar Olsynium inflatum, which can be expected to be observed in the area has a much inflated base to the filament tube. The photo at right shows a grass widow with some white striping in the tepals. This was seen on the eastern rim of Canyon Creek in the Klickitat Wildlife Area.......March 12, 2020.
