What appears to be Sandberg's sulphurflower buckwheat observed atop Green Mountain, several miles northwest of Mount Adams, Gifford Pinchot National Forest.....August 5, 2022. These plants seemed to have larger leaves, had scapes to 10 cm with more open inflorescences than similar plants that were maybe 5cm high with tighter, more compact inflorescences at the same location (reminiscent of Eriogonum umbellatum var. haussknechtii).
