[Unidentified Lichens of the Cascade Mountains of Oregon and Washington]

An unidentified lichen (probably a Peltigera sp.) seen on the trunk of a big leaf maple as seen at the Hemlock Lake Picnic Area, Gifford Pinchot National Forest.........November 10, 2014. Note the bright white underside of the thallus with the white, feathery rhizines. Platismatia sulcata can also be seen in the photo at left.
