What might be Stereocaulon sterile as seen on several thousand year old lava flows in the southern Washington Cascades. Photographed along the Pacific Crest Trail #2000 about one-quarter of a mile south of Forest Service Road 60 along the west side of the Big Lava Bed, Gifford Pinchot National Forest...........November 5, 2012.
