Floating pondweed as seen at left in the channel between the north and south arms of Hosmer Lake, Deschutes National Forest..........September 6, 2014. The image at right shows the leaves of floating pondweed in the canal along the Willard Springs Trail, Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge.....October 19, 2024. Several erect stems of river horsetail (Equisetum fluviatile) can also be seen arising from the water.
