What appears to be western quillwort as seen from the south shoreline of Deep Lake, Indian Heaven Wilderness.........August 26, 2016. Note the stiff, erect to spreading leaves which taper gradually to a point.

What appears to be western quillwort as seen from the south shoreline of Deep Lake, Indian Heaven Wilderness.........August 26, 2016. Plants at this location are found amongst bur-reeds (Sparganium sp.) on sandy lake bottoms covered with a thin layer of detritus. Plants here are partly emergent. Note the stiff, erect to spreading leaves which taper gradually to a point.
