Pacific waterleaf as seen at left in the webmaster's woodland garden in Gresham, OR.......May 20, 2009. This species is a reliable, slowly spreading foliage plant in the shaded garden and has flower heads that add interest. The down side is that it wilts and doesn't look as attractive during the hot weather of summer unless given plenty of water.
The photo at right shows Pacific waterleaf blooming along the northern periphery of Tombstone Meadows, Willamette National Forest......July 17, 2023.
Pacific waterleaf spotted along the Lewis River Trail #31 downstream of Bolt Camp Shelter, Gifford Pinchot National Forest.......June 18, 2024.
