Late-blooming Edgewood checkerbloom observed in moist meadows along the Pacific Crest Trail between Mount Ashland and Grouse Gap, Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest.......October 15, 2019. Note the numerous long, stiff hairs on the outer surfaces of the calyces which identify this subspecies.
