This photo shows a close-up frontal view of the corolla of Roezl's penstemon as seen along Coyote Creek Road in the Umpqua National Forest.......June 25, 2005. Note the glabrous staminode which is slightly expanded at the tip and just reaches the orfice of the corolla. The anthers are also visible here. They are horseshoe-shaped with white hairs or minute spines along the suture of the anther.
