Upland larkspur in bloom (left and center) along the Klickitat Trail below Cispus Point, Gifford Pinchot National Forest........July 4, 2015. Although not obvious from these photos, the inflorescence is somewhat glandular and the lower petals are cleft more than one-third of the way from the tips toward the base.

Upland larkspur blooming on a steep southeast-facing slope along the ridgeline between the Conrad Creek and South Fork Tieton River drainages, about one mile east of the South Fork Conrad Creek, Goat Rocks Wilderness........July 24, 2016. Arrowleaf balsamroot and shrubby penstemons were associate species at this location.
