Common camas (ssp. maxima) as seen along the Chinook Trail #808B on the west side of Silver Star Mountain, Gifford Pinchot National Forest.........June 3, 2016. Note the spreading pedicels, the withering tepals that do not wrap around the overy, and the individual tepals with at least 7 veins, which help identify this subspecies.
