The photo above shows ladysthumb as seen on the beach at the Dalles Riverside Park.........September 29, 2007. The racemes are shorter than those of the similar willoweed Polygonum lapathifolium.
The photo above shows a stem leaf of ladysthumb from the Dalles Riverside Park. The similar willoweed Polygonum lapathifolium commonly has leaves lacking the large purple spot at mid-leaf.
