Wenatchee National Forest, northwest of Ellensburg, Washington :

Plants listed in order of appearance on ascent (via road) to Lions Rock.

1. Worm-leaf Stonecrop: Sedum stenopetalum

2. Heart-leaf buckwheat (white flowers): Eriogonum compositum

3. Eriogonum ovalifolium

4. Eriogonum thymoides

5. Desert Yellow Daisy: Erigeron linearis

6. Bitterroot: Lewisia rediviva

7. Harsh Paintbrush: Castilleja hispida

8. Castilleja sp- a greenish/gray variety I forgot to return to for keying.

9. Narrow-leaved Phacelia: Phacelia linearis

10. Taper-tip Onion: Allium accuminatum

11. Gairdner's Penstemon: Penstemon gairdneri

12. Bitterbrush: Purshia tridentata

Lions Rock

This list was compiled in the vicinity of springs and meadow at the campground as well as the top of cliffs at Lions Rock. Multiple snow patches could still be found on the ground under the trees.
