Wildflower Bloom in Central Oregon:

Highway 205

(about 2 miles south of Frenchglen)

May 27, 2000

 


The area studied is about 2 miles or so south of Frenchglen, OR. One leaves the south end of Frenchglen, climbing the slopes via the paved highway. Once the summit is reached, continue driving about 3/4 of a mile or so. The ground on both sides of the road is flat, and there should be safe areas to pull off of the road. The area encompassed by this list is on the west side of the road, and procedes about 100 meters to slopes that descend gently to a small valley at the base of the rimrock which towers over the site to the west.
