Malheur National Forest
July 14, 2003
The area studied was the riparian area along with some of the upland area within 100 feet of the creek from FS Rd 4310 downstream to the meadows. The meadow is well-fenced and appears to be grazed at a later part of the year. The creek itself appears to be a seasonal creek, and was dry at this time. The western portion of the meadow is greatly eroded, dropping steeply perhaps 2-3 meters. An additional dry creek which enters the meadow from the northeast was studied for a distance of 200 meters upstream.
