The area studied includes the riparian area of the small creek beneath the Ponderosa pines to the west of Guano Creek, running about 400 meters upstream from the crossroads (roadto Guano Creek C.G. and access Rd to Warner Peak) and downstream about 150 meters. The dry meadows beneath the pines in both direction were studied too.
