[Maples: The Genus Acer East of the Cascade Mountains of Oregon and Washington]

This photo shows a leaf of Douglas maple (possibly variety glabrum) as seen near Table Mt. along the east rim of Joseph Canyon, northern Wallowa-Whitman N.F.......June 26, 2008. Variety glabrum has its leaves generally lobed more than one-half the distance to the midvein.
