Drummond's Willow
Salix drummondiana
Synonyms: Salix bella, Salix drummondiana ssp. subcaerulea, Salix drummondiana var. bella, Salix drummondiana var. subcaerulea, Salix subcaerulea
Close-up of the female catkin of what may be Drummond's willow aswhat might be drummond's willow as seen along a stream near the parking area for Kamiak County Park (Whitman County, Washington).........April 20, 2013. MacKenzie's willow (Salix prolixa) is also purported to be in the area, so could the photos represent a hybrid between the two taxa (since the upper half of the pistils taper so gradually and are so long)?
