A balsamroot hybrid of Carey's and Hooker's balsamroots as seen at the edge of oak woodlands at Brooks Memorial State Park near Satus Pass, Washington.........May 11, 2014. The hybrids are about double the size of Hooker's balsamroot but at least a third smaller than the average Carey's balsamroot. Leaves of the hybrid may be entire, wrinkled or pinnatifid on the same plant.
