What might be gray-green thistle as seen on gravelly slopes above the South Loop Road in the upper Rooster Comb, Steens Mountain Recreation Area...........July 9, 2014. Peregrine thistle (Cirsium cymosum var. cymosum) has also been recorded from the area and intermountain thistle (Cirsium subniveum) may also intergrade with this variety.
