What is possibly a patch of three square as seen along the western shore of the Deschutes River about one-half mile upstream from its confluence with the Columbia River.........July 27, 2011. The similar Schoenoplectus pungens is supposedly also found at this location and I haven't yet been able to determine the difference between the two, at least from these photos.
