Little Hare Sedge, Sierra Hare Sedge: Carex leporinella

The photo above shows little hare sedge as collected from slopes between 6200'-6600' at the base of the Adams Glacier, Mt. Adams........September 18, 2008. The site is an old moraine arising up to 500 feet above the lower riparian areas at its base. This sedge was generally found at the bottom of shallow ravines created as water flowed off of this moraine.
