Can you help verify the identity of this grass? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unidentified grass #17

Unidentified grass #18 growing along the valley trail about a mile northwest of the Painted Rocks, Little Spokane River Natural Area........July 2, 2011. I had originally labelled these as Danthonia uispicata, but I'm wondering if this is Danthonia californica? Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of this in the ground. The stem shown above is about 30 cm high, but some of it appears to be missing.
