Glabrous Branching Phacelia
Phacelia ramosissima var. subglabra

What may be new spring growth of leaves of glabrous branching phacelia as seen on a road cut along the east bank of the John Day River about one mile south of the Esau Canyon Corral, Cottonwood Canyon State Park.........February 20, 2016. The herbage appears to be mostly spreading hairs, but I will need to return later in the season to verify the lack of glandular hairs..
