Curl-leaf mountain mahogany (var. intermontanus) as seen on the eastern flanks of Spanish Peak, Ochoco National Forest.........September 25, 2016. Although the leaf margins are curled under a bit, the midrib and lateral veins are visible since the underside is not very woolly-hairy, so that helps identify this as var. intermontanus.
