Close-up of the trifoliate leaf (ventral surface) of hop clover as seen at Catherine Creek, Columbia River Gorge.........June 3, 2009. Note that the blades of the leaflets are broadly oblanceolate and that the pedicel of the middle leaflet is at least twice as long as those of the lateral leaflets, a diagnostic characteristic of this species.
