American Thorough-wax, Bupleurum: Bupleurum americanum - Glaucous leaves lanceolate to lance-ovate, found at the base as to well up the stems. Involucel of 2-6 irregular, leafy bracts from 3-5 mm long. Umbellets very compact both in flower and in fruit. Flowers yellow, or occasionally purple.
