Cascade Grass-of-Parnassus: Parnassia cirrata var. intermedia (Synonyms: Parnassia fimbriata var. hoodiana, Parnassia fimbriata var. intermedia, Parnassia intermedia) - Petals fringed in the lower half. The staminodes are 3.5-6 mm long. The thread-like fringes of the staminoda (sterile stamen) are up to 3 mm long, globose tipped. Flowering stems with a single, small leaf above midstem.

Fringed Grass-of-Parnassus, Rocky Mt. Grass-of-Parnassus: Parnassia fimbriata (Synonym: Parnassia fimbriata var. fimbriata) - Petals fringed in the lower half. The staminodes are 2-3.5 mm long. Fringes of the staminode (sterile stamen) up to 1 mm long, blunt tipped. Flowering stems with a single, small leaf above midstem.

Small Grass of Parnassus, Kotzebue's Grass-of-Parnassus: Parnassia kotzebuei (Synonym: Parnassia kotzebuei var. pumila) - Petals entire. The staminodes are 1.6-3 mm long. The 3-6 thread-like lobes are globose-tipped. Flowering stems leafless.
