[Onions: The Genus Allium East of the Cascade Mountains of Oregon and Washington]

What may be Kellogg's onion as seen on gravelly soils atop rock outcrops around Jackman Park, Steens Mountain of southeastern Oregon..........June 2, 2012. Goosefoot violet (Viola purpurea ssp. venosa) and another onion (perhaps tapertip onion, Allium accuminatum) are also visible.

What may be Kellogg's onion beginning to bloom on gravelly slopes at Domingo Pass, Pueblo Mountains of southeastern Oregon........May 31, 2012. It would be good to find this in bloom as it looks somewhat like Allium punctum too.
