Synonyms: Epimedium hexandrum, Vancouveria brevicula, Vancouveria picta

Inside-out-flower blooming in the woodland garden of the webmaster in Gresham, OR..........May 20, 2009.
Characteristics:
1. Cream colored petals turned back, with stamens & pistols pointing down. This gives the flowers the appearance of tiny white ballerinas.
2. Flowers are found on a loose raceme which is taller than the leaves.
3. Compound leaves contain 9 or more leaflets which are shaped like ducks feet.
Habitat:
Moist shady woods.
Uses or Importances:
1. Ornamental ground cover.
