What appears to be Gander's cholla observed in Morteros Canyon, south end of Blair Valley, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, CA.......March 26, 2005.

What appears to be Gander's cholla observed along the jeep road to Indian Hill northwest of Dos Cabezas, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, CA......March 21, 2005. If not this species, then it would most likely be Cylindropuntia echinocarpa.

What appears to be Gander's cholla observed in Plum Canyon, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, CA......March 28, 2006. Cylindropuntia wolfii is also in the area, so that's also a possibility.
